I forgot to post about the Karma Coupons and Flyers!

As a member of the Viz Team (Visibility for NJPIRG events, i.e. posters and flyers) I was put in charge of creating Karma Coupons- small pieces of paper promoting NJPIRG donations in return for good karma as well as weathgerization posters. It took me foreverrrr to make the flyers and posters because A I am a perfectionist and B for a while I was using Microsoft Word 2003 for all of my visual arts. I'm trying to find a way to attach the three posters I made (I wasn't sure which one looked good-like I said I am a perfectionist) as well as the Karma Coupons. Just wanted to be as up to date as possible. Also I believe todays bake sale was a success. We made more money than last weeks baje sale. I contributed by making about 6 boxes of brownies and creating the Karma Coupons. Hopefully we can continue to fundraise to help support the weatherization supply needs and anything necessary for Alternative Spring Break. Till next time-ellyse

Tonight's Intern Class

Tonight we had an intern class about how to run a good meeting. We discussed as a class some of the important elements essential to carrying out a successful meeting with Carl. The structure of our meeting was more interactive this week which was fun beacuase we all were able to contribute ideas and work off of one another's input. Together we decided good meetings have a leader, have cooperation, respect, someone to take and distribute notes, listening, a pre-planned agenda, and as little side-tracked discussion and behavior as possible. After going through each of the important aspects of a good meeting we concluded class early on the grounds that we had just accomplished the goal of tonight's lesson; a successfully effective meeting.

Poster for Pirg

As a member of the newly started vis. crew (visibility) I designed a poster to spread the word that Energy Service Corps offers free weatherizations for homes. We have a class session at 8, (in three minutes) just fine tuning the posters and pitching them to Nina. GTG..class starts soon.
